2025 Schedule
Week 0: vs. Santa Fe
Since 2004, Pioneer has not beaten Santa Fe. In last year’s game, Pioneer suffered a 48-7 loss.
Week 1: at Loara
This is the back end of a home-and-home series that saw the Titans come away with a 48-12 win LY.
Week 2: vs. Magnolia
This game is also the back end of a home-and-home series that saw the Titans pull out a 47-0 win.
Week 3: vs. Kennedy/La Palma
The Titans have lost all three games to Kennedy since 2004, including LYs 41-24 result.
Week 4: at Estancia
This is the first time that both teams have played each other. In nonleague games since 2004, Pioneer has posted a 45-66-1 record.
Week 5: vs. Whittier
In a nice local matchup game of two teams in the Whittier area, the Titans have lost the last two games in the series, including an 11-10 result LY.
Week 6: BYE
Week 7: at Rowland
This is also the back end of a home-and-home series in which Rowland prevailed in LYs game, 32-21.
Week 8: at Glenn
Despite the result on the field, Pioneer was awarded the win when Glenn was forced to forfeit the result.
Week 9: vs. Cerritos
The Titans are currently riding a 5 GLS to the Dons. LY, Cerritos easily defeated Pioneer, 70-14
Week 10: vs. Artesia
Pioneer has lost the last seven out of the previous eight matchups against Artesia, which includes last year’s 35-27 loss.
CRYSTAL BALL: What a year it was for anyone associated with Pioneer football. They won the Division 14 title and advanced to the CIF State Division. 7-A final. And they got a break on the final game of the regular season, when they were awarded a win after Glenn forfeited the game. Our projected record of 4-6 was almost accurate. A 5-5 record will get you in the playoffs in a division last D14, and the Titans made the most of it. It's 2025, and the Pioneer will once again have a tough schedule to deal with. Six of the 10 teams had a winning record in 2024, so that’s an important data point. The biggest issue that has to be addressed is the QB1 slot with the departure of Amiri Resendiz (2,000-yard passer). Noah Anderson is the presumed favorite, but he only appeared in two games, so some patience will be needed. Also lost to graduation was the ,1,000 team rushing leader Adrian Lopez. Salguero was listed as the player to replace Lopez, so we’ll see how that goes. Whoever is the QB has the luxury of having a talented receiver in Rojas returning. Both the OL and the DL look just fine. Our AI models are very consistent with the projected record of this team. And if they make the playoffs, don’t be surprised to see some of the magic reappear.
Projected Record: 5-5
