PACIFIC LEAGUE
Arcadia 11, Muir 0, 6 innings: Gabe Lopez, a Cal State Dominguez signee, proved to be too much for the Mustangs to handle as he tossed a six-inning one-hitter and struck out 12 with his fastball topping at an east 86 MPH. Leo Peniche had a double, and a triple, and drove in three runs.
GATEWAY LEAGUE
La Mirada 9, Downey 0: Kevin Jeon and Tyler Primanto hit doubles, and Walker Calvo, an Army commit, surrendered only one hit and struck out five in five scoreless innings of work to earn the win.
HACIENDA LEAGUE
South Hills 4, Los Altos 0: Luke Bauer tossed a one-hitter and struck out four.
MISSION VALLEY LEAGUE
South El Monte 1, Arroyo 0: Christian Ortega struck out 12 in 8.1 innings of work. Andrew Medina drove in the only run of the game in the 11th inning.
SANTA FE LEAGUE
Bosco Tech 11, Southlands Christian 1: The Tigers scored seven runs in the third inning which proved to be the difference. Adam Velasquez drove in three runs and Jose Iniguez struck out seven in a five-inning complete-game effort.
NONLEAGUE
Glendora 5, Maranatha 2: In the upset of the night in the area, Daniel Conness tripled in the 8th inning which scored two runs that proved to be the difference as the Tartans defeated the Minuteman at Jackie Robinson Park. Zach Strickland, UCLA commit, allowed two runs on five hits in six innings of work and struck out 8,
Santa Fe 13, St. Paul 3: Jordan Jimenez went 2 for 3 and drove in three runs as the Chiefs easily turned back the Swordsmen. Josiah Hurtado allowed one earned run on six hits and fanned four hitters to secure the win.
Bishop Amat 2, La Serna 1: Bishop Amat scored two runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and that was enough to narrowly defeat the Lancers. Three Amat pitchers (that included starter Aaron Sandin) combined for six strikeouts.
El Rancho 4, Royal 3, 10 innings: Dominic Bonilla drove in Nate Preciado on a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th inning to give the Dons a thrilling win.
San Marino 10, Nogales 0: Brandon Strauss tossed four scoreless hitless innings, giving up two hits and striking out five. JJ Wilson had three hits.
Walnut 8, Wilson 5: Anthony Baez was the hitting star of the day as he went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs.
