La Serna suffers a home loss to Liberty, Glendora and San Dimas post impressive wins to advance to the quarterfinals.

DIVISION 5
Liberty 6, La Serna 4: The Bisons opened the game by scoring three runs and held off repeated attempts by the host Lancers to advance to the quarterfinals. Ricky Vogt had a big game offensively for Liberty as he recorded two solid hits in four at-bats, registering 86 and 81 MPH on the SGV/Whittier Prep Sports Zone Pocket Radar equipment. Austin Cholodenko delivered the pivotal hit in the top of the seventh with a single (84 MPH exit velo) that brought Vogt home for an important insurance run. Liberty’s David Kirk pitched 5.1 innings as the starter, allowing four runs on nine hits while striking out four. His fastball ranged between 76 and 79 MPH. La Serna’s Isaac Lopez Del Haro shined offensively for the Lancers with three hits and one run scored. The Lancers had a chance to take the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning with the bases loaded and one out. Logan Paad was brought in and struck out Grady Long and Adrian Dominguez to extinguish the Lancers' threat. Liberty will host Elsinore in a quarterfinal game on Friday.

DIVISION 1
Mira Costa 6, Arcadia 5: Despite an outstanding offensive performance from Aiden Soto (3 for 3), the Apaches fell short in a road game against the Mustangs. Damian Catano went 2 for 4. Gus Cooper struck out six in four innings of work.
DIVISION 3
San Dimas 7, Colony 4: The Saints scored two runs in the first, second, and third innings, holding off a late rally from the top-seeded Titans to pull off a major road upset. Ashton Romero and Vaughn Coleman, an Arizona State commit, each recorded two hits. San Dimas will host a home quarterfinal game against Paraclete on Friday.
Glendora 5, Yucaipa 1: The Tartans scored five runs in the second inning, which was all they needed to defeat the visiting Thunderbirds. Tyler Obert connected for a single that drove in two runs, while Kai Zeits and Troy Norman each contributed RBIs during the second-inning rally. Brayden Johnson struck out six batters in six innings of work and secured the win. Glendora will travel to Orange County to face Costa Mesa on Friday, as Costa Mesa upset San Juan Hills, 5-4.

Marshall 6, Cerritos 4: Ryan Pandullo had the shot that was heard around the Pasadena area as he hit a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fifth inning that propelled the Eagles to the quarterfinals. Caleb Thatcher struck out the final two hitters in the top of the seventh inning to preserve the win.
Santa Fe 11, Burroughs/Ridgecrest 5: The Chiefs ignited their offense dramatically in the second inning, scoring nine runs, which proved sufficient for an impressive road win. Antonio Garcia hit a double that brought in three runs, while James Oregon had two hits and contributed two runs. Santa Fe will host Marshall in a quarterfinal on Friday.
Montebello 1, St. Bonaventure 0: Michael Rios’ double in the top of the seventh inning scored Nathan Ibarra, marking the only run of the game as the Oilers defeated the Seraphs to advance to the quarterfinals. Isaac Solorzano, the ace of the Oilers' staff, pitched a one-hitter and struck out 10. The Oilers will host Heritage Christian on Thursday due to Heritage Christian’s graduation on Friday.

Bosco Tech 5, Flintridge Prep 1: Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning, the Tigers scored two runs in the third and three more in the sixth off of Wolves ace Will Grable to pull out the win. Daniel Longoria had a massive day offensively as he went 2 for 4 and drove in three runs. The Tigers will go on the road to take on Grace on Friday. Grace defeated Silverado, 14-8.
