La Canada boys hoops routs Blair to snatch control of the Rio Hondo League race, St. Francis defeats Chaminade in a thriller, San Dimas turns back Northview.
BOYS BASKETBALL
RIO HONDO LEAGUE
Josh Proctor scored 31 points and grabbed 23 rebounds for La Canada in a 86-63 win over Blair. (Escarcega)
La Canada 86, Blair 63: On the strength of a 12-3 run at the beginning of the second quarter and a 14-4 run in the final stages of the second quarter, the Spartans (12-9, 4-0) took control of the league championship race with a dismantling of the host Vikings. Josh Proctor had a huge night for the Spartans with a game-high 31 points with 23 rebounds. Josh Pastor added 19 points and Jack Reynolds connected on 8 of 10 field goal attempts and finished with 18 points. La Canada was 35 of 61 from the field (57%). Blair was led by Nazsir Cammon with 20 points. Vikings super sophomore guard Timmy Anderson scored only 11 points.
San Marino 70, Temple City 32: Bobby Reyes scored 17 points and Marcus Chen pumped in another 12 points as the Titans routed the Rams. Mitch Mooney contributed 9 points.
South Pasadena 81, Monrovia 39: Russell Williams topped all scorers with 20 points with Lucas Miller adding 11 points and Derek Peterson chipping in 10 points.
ALMONT LEAGUE
Schurr 57, Alhambra 44: Kevin Montes de Oca had a big night with 19 points with Noah Loera contributing another 14 points in a win over the Moors. In another Almont League game, Keppel outclassed Bell Gardens, 70-26.
CAMINO REAL LEAGUE
Cantwell Sacred Heart 80, Verbum Dei 63: Donovan Desha produced the area’s first reported triple-double of the season as he scored a team-high 19 points, with 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Harlem Wilson connected on five 3-point baskets (17 points) and Diego Boardman pumped in another 15 points in a double-digit win.
FREEWAY LEAGUE
Sonora 70, Fullerton 50: Eric Castillo turned in a top effort for the Raiders with 26 points and Riley Hale chipped in 15 points as the Raiders earned a double-digit win. In another Freeway League game, La Habra defeated Sunny Hills 54-41.
MISSION LEAGUE
St. Francis 74, Chaminade 71 (OT): Noah Henry, who finished the night scoring 23 points, connected on a three-pointer in the final stages of overtime to give the host Golden Knights a thrilling win over the Eagles. Mazi Mosley was the leading scorer for St. Francis with 26 points.
MISSION VALLEY LEAGUE
South El Monte 66, El Monte 46: Eli Lopez was 6 of 11 from the field (with three 3-point baskets) and finished with 17 points, Titus Hernandez tallied 16 points and Tony Aguilar grabbed 15 rebounds as the Eagles had no trouble dispatching the host Lions.
MONTVIEW LEAGUE
Sierra Vista 47, Workman 42: David Orozco scored 14 points and Aaron Buna contributed 11 points in a league-opening win over the Lobos.
PACIFIC LEAGUE
Crescenta Valley 73, Arcadia 55: It was a tough night for the Apaches as they dropped their first game in Pacific League action (13-6, 7-1) to the host Falcons. Mansour Sanneh scored 11 points for Arcadia.
Pasadena 64, Muir 43: Jevon Jester scored 16 points and Desmond Every added 14 points as the Bulldogs had no trouble in defeating their intracity rival Mustangs.
PALOMARES LEAGUE
Glendora 74. Colony 37: For the first time this season, Sebastian Demano led the way for the Tartans with 15 points and Ian Wang added 10 as the Tartans routed the host Titans.
Bonita 76, Claremont 30: Colton Perez led all scorers with 18 points and James Kim had a season-high 17 points as the Bearcats easily turned back the Wolfpack. In another Palomares League game, Ayala defeated Alta Loma 63-56.
SANTA FE LEAGUE
Bosco Tech 90, St. Genevieve 56: The Tigers capped off a successful week with a huge league win. Jaden Erami scored 39 points and Ryan Osborne produced a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
VALLE VISTA LEAGUE
San Dimas 52, Northview 42: It was another big night for Logan Hodson as he topped all scorers with 21 points and Nathan Yearout added 16 points as the Saints withstood several runs from the host Vikings to post an impressive win. Nick Santillan connected on four 3-point baskets and finished the game with 12 points.
Diamond Ranch 65, West Covina 56: Despite getting a huge effort from Steven Julio (team-high 25 points), the Bulldogs suffered a road loss to the Panthers.

La Serna 56, El Rancho 35: It was another big night for El Rancho’s talented freshman Emery Riker as she scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds, but it was not good enough as the Lancers pulled out a road win.

Sonora 61, Fullerton 31: The Raiders had three players scored in double figures in their win over the Indians. Samantha Wilson led the way with 15 points with Kylah Baker and Kiana Graham each tallying 12 points.

Gabrielino 50, Arroyo 24: Paris Ngeam connected on 6 of 10 field goal attempts and finished with a team-high 12 points as the Eagles earned a road league win.

Temple City 49, San Marino 35: Kristi Huynh produced one of the top performances of the night as she scored 25 points in a huge win over the Titans. San Marino was led by Malia Yu with 16 points.
La Canada 74, Blair 23: Jennifer Russo led all scorers with 18 points and Emma Sengul and Ella Magtoto each contributed 10 points as the Spartans cruised to an easy road win.

San Dimas 61, Northview 23: Kamora Fletcher, a transfer from Los Altos, scored 13 points and Priscilla Romero and Olivia Romero each tallied 12 points in a road win over the Vikings.
