Pasadena, La Canada and Blair all pick up huge league wins in boys basketball; Santa Fe girls go double overtime to defeat Cal and remain undefeated in league.
BOYS BASKETBALL
ALMONT LEAGUE
Keppel 61, Alhambra 34: The beat goes on for the Aztecs as three players scored in double figures in their win. Jimmy Osorio led the way with 16 points, with Maddux Hang (13 points) and Chris Contreras (12 points) making key contributions.
BASELINE LEAGUE
Etiwanda 56, Damien 39: The Spartans went cold from the field in the second half and suffered a home loss to the Eagles. Eli Garner and Lucas Arrieta each scored eight points.
DEL RIO LEAGUE
California 62, Santa Fe 43: Edgar Beltran scored 15 points to lead the Condors past the host Chiefs. Aham Nwosu chipped in with 13.
GATEWAY LEAGUE
Matadores 98, Lynwood 46: Gene Roebuck led all scorers with 24 points and Julien Gomez pitched in with 18.
MISSION LEAGUE
Sierra Canyon 77, St. Francis 48: Despite getting a top effort form Noah Henry (21 points) and DeLan Grant (15 points), the Golden Knights were no match for the Trailblazers.
MISSION VALLEY LEAGUE
Rosemead 62, Mountain View 51: Four players scored in double figures as the Panthers remained tied for second place in the Mission Valley League standings with their win over the Vikings. Rhys Anderson paced the offensive attack for Rosemead with 19 points. Daniel Nguyen scored 15, with Leo Fang, a sophomore, adding 13, and Preston Hunyh finishing with 10.
MONTVIEW LEAGUE
Duarte 65, Nogales 48: Duarte solidified their hold on 2nd place in league standings as Paolo Cordero led them with 27 points and Ike Devance chipped in with 25 points.
RIO HONDO LEAGUE
Blair 95, South Pasadena 80: In the big game of the night in the league, Vikings remained tied with La Canada atop the league standings with a huge road win over the Tigers. Timmy Anderson went 5 of 6 from behind the 3-point arc and finished the game with 32 points. Jaleel Hunter and Josh Sheran each added 20. Blair will host San Marino today and have a two-game series against Temple City next week.
La Canada 74, San Marino 57: The Spartans were 18 of 30 from the field (60%) and overwhelmed the Titans to remain tied for first place in the league standings. Josh Pastor led the Spartans’ attack with 16 points with Harrison Schloessman and Maddox Freeman each scoring 15.
Temple City 61, Monrovia 51: Temple City’s Shawn Le led all scorers with 21 points.
PACIFIC LEAGUE
Pasadena 56, Arcadia 50: The Bulldogs remained undefeated in Pacific League action with a huge road win over the Apaches. Brandin Carpinter topped the stat sheet with 16 points for Pasadena and Josh Irving added 10.
SANTA FE LEAGUE
Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary 69, St. Genevieve 67: The Cardinals, who we project as an At-Large team in Division 4A, earned their first win in Santa Fe League on the strength of an outstanding performance from Jose Padilla, who shot 7 of 17 from the field and scored a game-high 28 points. Gio Chavez added 15.

FREEWAY LEAGUE
Sonora 65, La Habra 27: The Raiders, with a massive win over their intracity rivals, remain in third place in the league standings. Sydnie Lendsey tallied 11 points with five steals and Kai Kuwae pumped in 10 points.
HACIENDA LEAGUE
South Hills 61, Alta Loma 56: Alta Loma’s Mariah Geary had a big game with 22 points.
PREP LEAGUE
Flintridge Prep 55, Westridge 14: Pressley Huie led all scorers with 12 points.
Pasadena Poly 70, Providence 21: The Panthers improved to 5-0 in league play with an overwhelming win. Areni Ohanian led the way with 24 points.

Temple City 73, Monrovia 19: It was another big night for Temple City’s Kristi Hunyh as she went 11 of 20 from the field and scored a game-high 31 points.
