Bishop Amat earns a big road win: La Canada assumes command of the Rio Hondo League title race with a big win over South Pasadena.

BOYS BASKETBALL
NONLEAGUE
Bishop Amat 64, Bosco Tech 61: Leave it to the only senior on Bishop Amat’s starting lineup to make the biggest difference in the win. Matthew Rodriguez scored a team-high 19 points along with 12 rebounds to help the Lancers pull out an overtime win. Rodriguez scored 12 of his points in the 2nd half. Bosco Tech held the lead for much of the game but failed to convert on several possessions late in the second half.
Jaden Erami had another big game as he scored a game-high 20 points. The senior had a chance to win the game with a buzzer-beating shot. The shot was off the mark, throwing the game into overtime. Ryan Osborne had 17 points with nine rebounds but fouled out in overtime.
The Lancers also received huge efforts from Eli Chavez with 16 points and Chris Blakely added 14 points.
St. Pius X/St, Matthias 71, La Mirada 67: In a matchup of two of the top teams in Southern California, Gene Roebuck scored 25 points and Julien Gomez added 21 but it was not enough as the Matadores suffered a road loss.
Ayala 63, Keppel 57 (OT): In another thrilling area matchup, Jaydin Maddox scored 25 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Aztecs. Junior Josiah Yang pitched in 14 points. Keppel’s Ethan Ly had a huge game for the Aztecs as he scored 28 points.
Glendora 65, Redlands East Valley 60: Colton Gray looked sharp again for the Tartans as he tallied a game-high 23 points with Elijah Regan adding 16 points and Chris Lee chipping in with another 15 points.
La Habra 78, Cerritos 45: Grayson Sinek had the performance of the night in the area as he scored a game-high 35 points and Jaedon Anderson contributed 19 points in the Highlanders win over the Dons.
California 88, Bassett 30: The Condors had four players score in double figures in their win over the Olympians. Edgar Beltran scored 21 points with Luke Sanchez receiving 18 points and Victor Mendez adding 14 points.
Valley Christian (AZ) 69, St. Francis 51: Mazi Mosley produced 19 points, but it was not good enough as the Golden Knights suffered a road loss.
West Covina 48, South Hills 41: Steven Julio scored 13 points and Anthony Daher, along with David Toscano, each scored 8 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Huskies in a rivalry game.
IN RIO HONDO LEAGUE ACTION
La Canada 65, South Pasadena 56: Two days after scoring 112 points against San Marino, the Spartans clamped down the Tiger's offense and held them to 56 points in a home win. The third period proved to be the key period as La Canada outscored South Pasadena 18-10. Josh Pastor went 12 for 19 from the field and finished with 28 points, Matthew Plocher added 13 points and Anders Petersen tossed in 12 points. South Pasadena was led by Russ Williams with 22 points and Derek Peterson added 15 points.
Blair 103, Temple City 68: Timmy Anderson was hot from the field once again as he scored 36 points with 11 assists to propel the Vikings to a road win. Nazsir Cammon pitched in 28 points with Tarynce Price finishing with 21 points.
San Marino 96, Monrovia 39: Bobby Reyes looked sharp for the Titans as he scored 18 points in a home league win over the Wildcats. Marco Rangel contributed 13 points and Casey Chan added 11 points.
IN PACIFIC LEAGUE ACTION
Arcadia 73. Glendale 47: Jordan Dollar scored 19 points and Robert Winn contributed 14 points in the Apaches’ league victory.

South Pasadena 53, La Canada 38: La Canada was led by Jennifer Musso with a game-high 13 points and Emma Sengul contributed another 11 points.
San Marino 50, Monrovia 20: It was another big night for Kailey Wood as she scored 22 points with Lily Mata snatching 10 rebounds for the Titans in their win.
MISSION VALLEY LEAGUE
Marshall 53, Rosemead 28: Destiny Isiaso topped all scorers with 16 points and Jolynn Alibar added 11 points to lead the Eagles to a road win over the Panthers.
