Recap: In a game that many predicted would be a close affair, the Chiefs scored three runs in the first two innings and tacked on four more in the third to a road win in a five-inning affair. One of the offensive stars of the day was leadoff hitter Jasmine Pacheco who went 3 for 4 with a double and scored three times. Mimi Gonzalez also had three hits (including a double) and drove in a run. Paris Guzman had two hits and drove in two runs.
Ana Galvan threw a complete game, giving up 3 runs on four hits and striking out four. The Dons scores two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on the strength of a sacrifice fly by Alina Guerrero and a bases-loaded walk issued to Samantha Vargas.
First place will be on the line on Thursday with Santa Fe traveling to La Serna with the first pitch slated for 3:15 p.m.

Recap: The Condors got their bats going early as they posted seven runs in the first inning and cruised to a five-inning win. Alex Salas allowed one hit in 3 2/3 innings of work and struck out 11. Mia Martinez was one of the stars of the day as she hit a double, a home run, and drove in two runs. Shirley Acevedo also connected on a home run. California will be back in action on Wednesday with a key nonleague game against Gahr.

Recap: Natalie Macias was one of the major factors that went into the Lancers’ shutout road win over the Stars. Macias banged out two doubles and drove in a run. She also pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings, with four strikeouts. Amira Villaneda and Arianna Saldivar each had three hits.
