Recap: If there was anything that could be taken from La Serna's overwhelming win over Santa Fe is that when it comes to area softball – the Lancers played like a team that deserves to be the top-ranked team in the area.
The Lancers devasting offense was on display in the second inning as they had 13 hitters come to the plate and scored nine runs. Among the key hits was a single by Sabria Ritto that scored two runs and a 3-run triple by Elisa Guerrero. Santa Fe scored their only run of the game in the third inning when Ava Galvan scored Sarah Razo on a single.
La Serna (8-3, 3-0), moved into first place in the Del Rio league standings and will host El Rancho on Monday.

Recap: It was a wild one that took nearly five hours, but the Lancers sent their fans home happy as Micah Ayala’s single off of La Salle reliever David Mysza (a UCLA commit) scored two runs that made the difference. The pitching performance of the day came from Moises Escobedo came in relief for Sean Suriyaniel and allowed 2 hits and struck out 11 in seven innings and picked up the win. Jacob Campos was 4 for 4. La Salle’s Val Gomez connected on three hits and Travis Ortega brought in two runs.
Bishop Amat is now alone in first place in the Del Rey League standings.
