South Hills sweeps Los Altos in baseball; Glendora overwhelms Arcadia in softball.

BASEBALL
HACIENDA LEAGUE
South Hills 4, Los Altos 0: The Huskies’ dominance of the Hacienda League continued Friday as Elias Reyes, a Loyola Marymount commit, held the Conquerors to three hits and struck out 11 in a victorious performance. Reyes had a no-hitter going until the fifth inning when Ruben Maduray smacked a line drive single to center field. The senior improved his team-best record to 5-2 with a 2.62 ERA. The Conquerors worked to get the bases loaded with two outs, but Reyes struck out Nate Barrero on an 86 MPH fastball to end the threat. Diego Villareal was the only Husky to drive in a run on a single to center field (with an exit velocity of 76 MPH) that scored catcher Rich Soto. The Huskies will have a home-and-home series next week against San Dimas.

San Dimas 8, Alta Loma 2: Vaughn Coleman, an Arizona State commit, had a big day with three hits, which included a home run, and drove in two runs. James Rocha put together another outstanding pitching performance as he struck out eight in six innings and picked up the win. He has struck out 15 batters in the last two games.
ALMONT LEAGUE
Montebello 3, Schurr 0: Brady Arellano, Devin Lopez, and Ben Richards combined to hold the host Spartans to three hits in a series-clinching win. Nathan Ibarra went 3 for 4 and drove in a run.
BASELINE LEAGUE
Chino Hills 5, Etiwanda 4: The Huskies scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and held off a late challenge from the Eagles in an exciting home win to earn a series win. Senior Matt Mendez went 2 for 3 with doubles. Ayden Maxson struck out in six innings and picked up the win. Chino Hills remains in fourth place in the league standings.
GATEWAY LEAGUE
Gahr 2, La Mirada 0: In the upset of the day in Southern California, Gahr’s Noah Irwin tossed a complete-game two-hitter as the Gladiators captured the series from the Matadores. Gahr is in first place in the league standings on the strength of the win.
FREEWAY LEAGUE
La Habra 5, Pacifica/Garden Grove 1: The Highlanders took the season series from the Mariners with Zach Lopez and Bobby Brooks each driving in two runs. Spencer Carty had a big day offensively with three hits and scored twice. Angel Acuna allowed one run on four hits and fanned eight in a victorious complete-game effort. His record improved to 4-0 with a 0.94 ERA.
MISSION VALLEY LEAGUE
Marshall 5, Rosemead 0: Nate Callaway hit a two-run homer, and Michael Gerst tossed a two-hitter and struck out 11 in the Eagles’ victory.
South El Monte 6, Gabrielino 1: Ryan Leon connected on two hits, including a double, and Matthew Medina drove in two runs as the Eagles improved to 8-0 in league play, with a win over the Eagles. Christian Ortega allowed five hits and struck out nine in a complete-game victory.
MT. BALDY LEAGUE
Diamond Ranch 1, Chaffey 0: Ethan Lomeli turned in the pitching performance of the day as he tossed a one-hitter and struck out eight. It was Lomeli’s first win since February 28th when the Panthers defeated Rowland, 4-2.
Baldwin Park 1, Garey 0, 9 innings: Thomas Beltran’s single in the top of the ninth inning scored Matthew Chavez with the only run of the game as the Braves pulled out a huge road league win. Isaiah Montes struck out four in eight innings of work.
PACIFIC LEAGUE
Arcadia 9, Burbank 1: The Apaches scored seven runs in the second inning, and that was all they needed to defeat the visiting Bulldogs. Julian Salmon and Jordan Vogel each drove in two runs. Damien Cantano allowed two hits, struck out five in three innings of work, and picked up the win to improve his record to 7-1, with a 1.68 ERA.
Muir 11, Glendale 1: Conrad Hunziker turned in another solid effort as he tossed a one-hitter and struck out 12. He has won his last two starting appearances and has a 6-3 record with a 2.26 ERA. Donovan Williams hit a solo home run.

Chino Hills 14, Rancho Cucamonga 1: Lianna Ferrera and Kyler Del Duca hit home runs, and Nadia Juarez surrendered one run on five hits in three innings of work to earn the win.

South Hills 11, Colony 0, 5 innings: Parker Milton proved to be a demanding customer in the circle as she tossed a two-hitter and struck out 11 with her record improving to 7-2 and a 1.91 ERA. Charli Moreno had four hits, and Katelyn Saguin drove in three runs.
Los Altos 4, San Dimas 2: Kaylahni Duenas turned in another sharp effort, allowing two runs on three hits and fanning three in a complete-game effort. UCLA commit Brianah Alejandre had two hits (including a double) and drove in a run.
MISSION VALLEY LEAGUE
Arroyo 9, Mountain View 0: Emily Rubalcava tossed a two-hitter and struck out eight in a complete-game win. She also hit a home run.
MT. BALDY LEAGUE
Diamond Ranch 10, Chaffey 6: Rayanna Quintanar had two doubles with Audrinna Mora and Khloe Malcolm driving in two runs in the Panthers’ road win.
RIO HONDO LEAGUE
La Canada 7, South Pasadena 3: The Spartans scored four runs in the final three innings to pull out a road league win. South Pasadena’s Talula Bearden had two hits.
NONLEAGUE
Glendora 12, Arcadia 1: A day after pulling out a narrow win over Muir, the Apaches got throttled by the visiting Tartans. Morgan Gonzalez had two hits, with Ryan Torres and Kylie Coleman driving in two runs.
