Sonora 2, La Habra 1: In one of the big upsets of the day, the Raiders (1-9) secured their first win of the season with AJ Garcia’s line drive to center field was not fielded cleanly allowing Brandon Alatorre to score what would be the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the fourth inning for a Freeway League win. Jack Meek was solid on the mound for Sonora as he yielded one run on five hits and struck out 10 in a complete-game effort. La Habra’s Matthew Flores struck out seven and was the tough-luck losing pitcher.
Santa Margarita 3, La Mirada 0: The Eagles scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning which proved the difference in a win over the Matadores and at a Perfect Game event. Noah Rodriguez had two hits of La Mirada’s four hits. Eric Jeon tossed five innings, allowed one run on five hits
La Serna 7, El Rancho 3: The Lancers scored two late runs by Niko Ramirez and Jake Long to clinch a Del Rio League win over the Dons. Senior Devin Fernandez picked up the win.
Edgewood 11, Ganesha 4: The Lions scored three runs in the first inning and four more in the fourth to earn a road non-league win. Raul Castro and Issac Hernandez each drove in three runs. Nick Lozano yielded one run on four hits and struck out five in five innings of work and secured the decision.

Madilyn Hernandez connected on a home run and drove in two runs. Maddy Del Rio allowed one earned run on three hits and struck out eight to pick up the win.
Covina 1, Sierra Vista 0: Lexi Sumpter was a tough customer for the Dons to deal with as she tossed a complete-game six-hitter and struck out six as the Colts earned a hard-fought non-league win. Jolee Rodriguez drove in Maya Venegas with the only run of the game.
Los Altos 8, Don Lugo 2: The Conquerors broke up a tightly played non-league game by scoring three runs in the fifth inning and two more in the sixth to dispatch the visiting Conquerors. The freshmen trio of Brianah Alejandre, Jazmin Simental, and Jordan Ramirez were the difference makers in the win. Alejandre had two triples and drove in two runs, Simental went 3 for 3 and Ramirez drove in two runs. Samantha Bohorquez surrendered two runs on ten hits and picked up the win.
