2024-25 San Marino Girls Basketball Schedule
Coach Reuter’s Comments: “We are coming off a busy summer where our team gained valuable playing experience with each other. We have a solid group of returners, as well as some newcomers to varsity who are ready to step into playing time. League will be tough, as always, but the girls are up for the challenge.
Crystal Ball: We like this program's trajectory in the last couple of seasons. Last year, the Titans advanced to the quarterfinals, and we would not be surprised (thanks to the new era of Competitive Equity) if this team made another deep run in the playoffs. Kailey Woo was so much fun to watch last year, and we think she’s sitting on another big year. Mata gives the Titans another threat from behind the 3-point arc, and Tanihaha will be a factor in the low post. We know that South Pasadena is the favorite to win the league title, but don’t be surprised in this team finishes a strong second.
St. Lucy’s High School
Head Coach: Dominic Mejico
2023-24 Season Record: 10-17
Assistant Coaches Names:
Eddie Greenwald

PROJECTED GUARDS RETURNING
Danika Mejico 11th grade 5'7 145 pounds. 1st team all league averaged about 10 points 2 blocks and 8 rebounds.
Kira Carrol Senior 5'2 105 pounds second team all league led the league in steals and averaged 10 points per game
TOP NEWCOMERS/TRANSFERS
Madison Williams freshman 5'9 150 power forward great defender and scorer can score with her back to the basket or on the wing
Coach Mejico’s Comments: “Have some talented incoming Freshman joining the program. Will be small but aggressive on defensive end. Being such a small school and playing in the Baseline league with Programs Etiwanda, Los Osos, Rancho Cucamonga and Chino Hills his always a disadvantage for us but we do our best to compete.”
Crystal Ball: When you are in a basketball league with the likes of Etiwanda, Chino Hills, Rancho Cucamonga, and Los Osos, it’s not easy coaching at a school like St. Lucy’s. But the Regents have one of the top shooting guards in the area in Danika Mejico and the word is that she could be even better this year. Hope springs eternal with the arrival of freshman Williams, who will be inserted into the starting lineup immediately. This is another team we will watch closely in 2024-25.
