GIRLS BASKETBALL
PREP LEAGUE

Flintridge Prep 55, Providence 31: After a bit of a slow start (leading 26-22 at halftime), the Wolves outscored (and outplayed) Providence 29-9 in the second half and took control of the Prep League championship race. Maddie Smith showed everyone her complete game as she scored 12 points, 8 rebounds, and five steals. Megan Quach added 10 points and Olivia Childs grabbed 13 rebounds.
The performance of Providence’s Lia Krumian can’t be overlooked. She scored 18 points but scored only four points in the second half.
DEL RIO LEAGUE
Whittier 51, El Rancho 39: Despite getting a huge effort from freshman Emery Riker with 25 points, the Dons suffered a road loss to the Cardinals.
PALOMARES LEAGUE
Glendora 86, Alta Loma 25: Rylie Anderson was a scoring machine as she scored 27 points as the Tartans secured a road win.
Bonita 65, Ayala 33: Lexi Mercado led all scorers for the Bearcats with 18 points and Tresse Beatty added 17 points with Brooke Van Duyne chipping in 11 points as the Bearcats improved to 13-6 on the season and 3-0 in league action with a double-digit win over the Bearcats
RIO HONDO LEAGUE
South Pasadena 81, Temple City 39: It was another big night for Dylan Tse as she scored 24 points and Kayla Boozer had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
La Canada 61, Monrovia 19: Junior Jennifer Musso led a well-diversified scoring attack for the Spartans with 14 points in a road win over the Rams.
San Marino 70, Blair 15: Chloe Linden and Giuliana Ritzell both scored a game-high 13 points for the Titans in an easy league win.
VALLE VISTA LEAGUE
Covina 52, Northview 44: In the upset of the area for the evening, Danie Singley scored 31 points to lead the Colts past the Vikings.
San Dimas 54, West Covina 12: In the second league game of the week, the Saints defense was the story as they held the Bulldogs to 12 points in an easy win. Olivia Romero paced the offensive attack for San Dimas with 13 points.

DEL REY LEAGUE
St. Paul 76, Serra 61: Tong Maiwen led all scorers with 31 points with Osami Maciel adding 19 points and Babacar Gadiaga adding 12 points as the Swordsmen easily won a home league game over the Cavaliers.
DEL RIO LEAGUE
California 78, Santa Fe 65: Victor Mendez continues to show that he is one of the top players in the Whittier area as he scored 19 points with Luke Sanchez chipping in another 16 points in the Condors win over the Chiefs.
GATEWAY LEAGUE
La Mirada 93, Dominguez 53: Freshman Gene Roebuck led the way for the Matadores with 21 points with MJ Smith contributing 17 points and Isaiah Valenzuela adding 16 points in a double-digit road win.
MISSION LEAGUE
Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 61, St. Francis 43: Mazi Mosley scored 16 points, but it was not good enough as the Knights secured a road league win.
MISSION VALLEY LEAGUE
Arroyo 50, South El Monte 40: South El Monte received big efforts from Titus Hernandez (18 points) and Tony Aguilar producing a double-double (10 points/10 rebounds) but it was not good enough as the Knights came through with a nice win.
MONTVIEW LEAGUE
Nogales 54, Azusa 26: The Nobles had three players score in double figures in their road win over the Aztecs. Jayden Salas led the way with 17 points with Isaac Garcia and Shehab Elkambari each contributing 12 points.
PALOMARES LEAGUE
Bonita 70, Ayala 57: Colton Perez scored 24 points to help pace the Bearcats attack in their win over the Bulldogs. Jake Quintana contributed 11 points and Hunter Smith pitched in with 10 points. Ayala’s Jaydin Maddox scored a team-high 20 points.
Glendora 70, Alta Loma 40: Colton Gray scored 19 points with Max Hilgenfeldt adding 15 points and Chris Lee pitched in 10 points as the Tartans easily captured a road league win.
RIO HONDO LEAGUE
La Canada 76, Monrovia 45: The Spartans jumped out to a 31-20 lead and never looked back in a road win over the Rams. Josh Proctor had a huge night with 25 points (12 of 15 from the field) and seven rebounds. Josh Pastor added 17 points.
Blair 74, San Marino 67: After trailing 18-5 at the end of the first period, the Vikings rallied to secure a huge road win. Timmy Anderson once again had a superb night as he scored 39 points.
South Pasadena 70, Temple City 33: Derek Peterson had a productive night with 18 points with Russell Williams adding 14 points and Jacob Arias with Jack Madison each scored 130 points as the Tigers routed the Rams.
SANTA FE LEAGUE
Bosco Tech 62, La Salle 47: Ryan Osborne scored 21 points to help lead the Tigers to a huge road win over the Lancers. Jaden Erami added 16 points and Darius Benitez pitched in 13 points.
VALLE VISTA LEAGUE
San Dimas 62, West Covina 43: Logan Hodson continues to make a huge impact for the Saints as he once again led all scorers with 23 points and Nathan Yearout added 17 points for the Saints in a home win over the Bulldogs.
NONLEAGUE
Marquez 55, Sierra Vista 46: Anson Wei, a senior, topped the stat sheet for the Dons with 13 points, and David Orozco tallied another 10 points, but the Dons lost their second straight loss.
