Los Altos 75, La Mirada 43:Ā For the second week in a row, the Conquerors took out their frustration of losing to a well-regarded team (Serra) with a dominating performance in a rout over the Matadors in consolation tournament action at the St. John Bosco Tournament.
Los Altos seized control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Matadores 17-5, and led 38-16 at halftime.
āLa Mirada is a good team with a lot of talent with young players and some veterans on the squad,ā Los Altos coach Jeff Lucas said. āGetting up 22 points and holding them at 16 in the first half and they never got closer than 18 points. This was a nice performance coming off the loss. This also happened at the Cantwell Tournament, (Thursday) was a total team effort.
C.J. Bellamy, a transfer from Eastvale Roosevelt, turned in one of his better performances of the season as he scored 22 points, which included converting six 3-point baskets.
Jazz Gardner, a 7-foot junior who is considered one of the top players in Southern California, had a triple-double in the game; 11 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 block shots.
La Mirada was led by talented freshman Julian Gomez, who scored 16 points with eight rebounds. Isiah Kalaj pumped in eight points.
Los Altos will take on Rancho Christian in a consolation game, Friday at 2:30 p.m.



Bosco Tech 48, Mountain View 44:Ā The Tigers advanced to the finals of their host tournament with a narrow win over the Vikings. The Tigers improved their record to an impressive 9-1. Jaden Erami led the way for Bosco Tech with 20 points and Darius Benitez added 16 points. The Tigers will either take on Sierra Vista or Rowland in Saturdayās final at 4:30 p.m.


California 61, Segerstrom 35:Ā The Condor overcame a slow start, trailing 11-0 in the first period, and easily dispatched the Jaguars and snap a two-game losing streak. Chris Thomas had a big night for California as he led all scorers with 27 points.
San Marino 62, Marshall 42:Ā The Titans won their four straight game and improved their record to 9-1 with a double-digit win over the host Eagles. Xavier Duong, Mason Lo, and Bobby Reyes each scored nine points.

#5 Sonora 53, Eagle Rock 37:Ā The Raiders opened a ten-point halftime lead and easily dispatched the Eagles at the Sunny Hills Varsity Showcase. Spearheading the Sonora attack was Leah Haynes with 18 points with Jazmin Sheikh adding 17 points (with four 3-pointers) and Larissa Robles tallying 13 points, six rebounds, and four steals.Ā
#8 Keppel 67, Narbonne 28:Ā The Aztecs advanced to the finals of the Mira Costa Tournament as they throttled the Gauchos. 13 different players scored for the Aztecs. Emily Liu was the leading scorer with 12 points. Keppel will play Mira Costa in the tournament final on Saturday night.
Santa Margarita 47, #10 Northview 38:Ā The Vikings suffered a tough loss in South Orange to the Eagles, who are ranked fifth in the latest rankings from the Orange County Register. Alana Diaz topped the stat sheet with a double-double, 17 points, and 11 rebounds. Sammy Martinez added ten points. Northview will take on Orange Lutheran on Saturday.
Los Altos 78, St. Pius X/St. Matthias Academy 24:Ā The Conquerors won their second straight game of the week at the Artesia Tournament. Vhenus Gaoa turned in a solid performance with 17 points. Jimena Solorio added 15 points, Aneya Neilly pumped in 12 points and Kamora Fletcher pitched in 11 points.

Rosemead 57, South Hills 43:Ā It was another big night for Rosemeadās Vivian Duong as she had a double-double (33 points and 12 rebounds) in the win over the Huskies in Covina Tournament consolation action. Allison Tran tallied nine points and ten rebounds.
Rowland 39, Montclair 32: The Raiders won their second game in a row this week, despite shooting 17 of 60 from the field. Junior guard Ella Cho led the Rowland attack with 13 points.
San Marino 48, Mayfield 30:Ā The Titans snapped a three-game losing streak with a home win over the Cubs. Junior Gianna Karkafi was the leading scorer for San Marino with 14 points.
